With its 1,700 km of rivers and lakes, the Haute-Marne offers anglers a privileged setting. 900 km of waterways are classified as 1st category, renowned for salmonids, trout and grayling (on the Marne and Rognon in particular). The 800 km of 2nd category rivers allow fishing for perch, pike, pike-perch and whitefish. As for the large lakes, anglers can track carnivores, pike, pike-perch and carp, including night fishing.
