Max. number for groups: thematic visits, 15 - guided tour, 20 - open tour, 50. Historical : The library was created on September 1st, 1773 by canon Zacharie Legros and Mayor Baudot. Almost entirely destroyed in 1892 after a fire, it was rebuilt and installed on the second floor of the Town Hall, then managed by the Republican association of direction. Since 1987, it has been located in the cloister of the Langres cathedral. Subscription : Subscribing to the Marcel-Arland library enables you to take out 4 books, 4 magazines, 4 CD and 1 DVD for 3 weeks overall. People aged 15 or under: free annual subscription. Parents should fill out an authorization request form and provide a proof of address. From 15 year old : annual subscription in return of a proof of identification. Parental consent for people aged under 18. Documentary offer : Intended to teenagers and adults: novels, comics, domentary works, dictionaries.. A newspaper stand will also be available: You can read and borrow them. Internet, CD-ROMs or microfilm consultations are also possible in the multimedia space. Audio space : CD, DVD, music magazines Youth space: novels, comics, documentaries, nursery rhymes, jingles, songs... A cozy area is designed for the baby readers. Visually impaired public: Braille and large print books available. To extend the return date: on simple request, at the reception desk, by phone or by mail, with a limit of two consecutive extensions. To reserve a document that was already borrowed: no more than one book and one CD at the same time. As soon as available, a letter is sent to you, offering you to take it out within the further two weeks. Inter-library loans : if a book isn't available in Langres, you can ask another library for it, on simple request. However, you must cover the shipping cost. Dates and Times of opening On Tuesdays and Fridays from 1.30 PM to 6.00 PM. On Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8.45 AM to 11.45 and from 1.30 PM to 6.00 PM. Closed on Mondays and Thursdays.
