The community originally occupied a private dwelling on the rue de la Tournelle, before having built a more functional convent in 1631. The chapel would not be finished until the end of the century (around 1670 – 1680). The gateway, although in very poor condition, still suggests a heavy decorated section, with twinned columns, niches, winged cherubs and interlaced emblems. In 1818 the building became a barracks and in 1974 two thirds of the building were demolished in order to make space for a residential building.
