The museum presents the traditional cutlery of Nogent and design cutlery in an unusual setting, with new technology. Video and audiovisual presentation, shop, exhibitions etc. Presentation of the few snuffers made in the Nogent area in the 18th and 19th centuries. Handmade like pairs of scissors, by outworkers at home, they were used to trim the wicks of candles or oil lamps. An attractive, entertaining museum layout shows over one hundred types of lamp, illustrating the period before the introduction of "magical electricity".
Le Musée de la Coutellerie has an unu-sual display of traditional Haute-Marne cutlery and art cutlery, with its new technologies. Video presentation and audiovisual room, shop, exhibitions etc. This is a “Musée de France” museum.
